PlanIt Flooring Limited is registered in England and Wales, company number 17301169. Its story page says the founder spent years delivering technology for large listed businesses, then in February 2025 bought a 50% share in a flooring business with a trade counter, showroom and commercial contracts, and built PlanIt for that shop before opening it to others. It shows: this is written by someone who has stood at a counter.
It is sold as two products that run on their own or together:
Around those sit a CRM pipeline, a fitting diary, profit analysis down to profit per m², van stock for fitters, and CIS deductions and domestic reverse charge VAT on every plan. Commercial adds tender comparison, value engineering, QS-style bill of quantities rate build-ups and take-off from tender packs. The mobile app installs from the browser on iPhone and Android rather than an app store, and works offline.
PlanIt is plain about its edges too: its estimating page says it is flooring-only by design, and its pricing page rules out white-labelling at any price while putting your own logo and terms on every document from the cheapest paid plan up. For measuring, optimising, quoting and running a counter, that is a well-made product with a clear point of view.
PlanIt is a tool you drive. BillyBot does the first draft of the office work and hands it to you. Same industry, different job.
Connect Gmail or Outlook. Billy reads new enquiries, turns them into jobs with the customer and address attached, files the attachments and drafts a reply in your voice. Nothing goes to a customer until you approve it, unless you switch on auto-send.

Quotes and invoices are prepared, then go across when you confirm them, never automatically. No accounting software? Billy produces branded PDFs instead.
Billy writes the RAMS, with a COSHH section from a safety data sheet library. Fitters are free however many you have, on the App Store and Google Play, and what they record on site saves to the phone first.
Diary entries syncing with Google or Outlook calendars, rotas and time off, monthly pay summaries, purchase orders, stock, supplier invoices, CIS — and a nudge when a quote has gone quiet.

No. There is no counter till, cash-up, Z report or barcode scanning in BillyBot. It holds stock, purchase orders and supplier invoices for a fitting business, but if your day ends by cashing up, PlanIt Business is built for that and BillyBot is not.
Xero, Sage and QuickBooks are all supported, and a quote or invoice only goes across once you confirm it, never automatically. With no accounting software, BillyBot produces branded PDFs. PlanIt's plan comparison lists a Xero-ready invoice export on Business and Commercial, and does not list Sage or QuickBooks.
