MasterPiece Systems Ltd is based in Epsom, Surrey, and its website says it gained its first customer in 1998. MasterPiece is sold as a suite of modules, so a business buys the capabilities it needs and adds more later. Floor measuring and carpet cutting planning are included in every version. The site describes four main products:
It runs on Windows, with jobs stored on your own machines or server, or as a cloud version on Windows, iPad, Mac and Android. Its purchase pages list a base system at £41 a month for up to three users, one logged in at a time, with support and new versions included. It offers a free 30-day trial, a help desk seven days a week, and training remotely or at your site.
For measuring, planning and estimating, that's a mature, focused product. If it covers the way you work, you may have no reason to change.
MasterPiece centres on measuring, planning and estimating. BillyBot is built to do the office work around each job as well, with you approving what goes out.
Connect Gmail or Outlook. Billy reads new enquiries, turns them into jobs and drafts replies in your voice. Nothing is sent to a customer until you approve it, unless you switch on auto-send.
A voice note, a few typed lines, a forwarded email, a floor plan or a tender pack. Billy prices it on your own supplier prices, markups and rates, and shows you the quote to check. More on flooring quoting software.

Quotes can go out with a link where your customer views the quote, accepts it with a drawn signature and, if you take deposits and have connected card payments, pays a deposit.
Quotes and invoices go into Xero, Sage or QuickBooks when you confirm them, never automatically. No accounting software? Billy produces branded PDFs instead.
Fitters get the BillyBot app on iPhone or Android at no cost, with their diary and job details. What they record on site is saved on the phone first and sent when there's signal.
Book surveys and fittings in the diary. Entries sync with connected Google or Outlook calendars, and fitters get a notification on their phone. See flooring scheduling.
Billy writes RAMS for your jobs, including a COSHH section drawn from a library of safety data sheets, and flags quotes that have gone quiet, offering to draft a follow-up.

BillyBot doesn't import MasterPiece files. Before changing anything, ask MasterPiece how to export or archive the jobs, plans and customer records you want to keep, and keep access until your open jobs are finished.
Connect Xero, Sage or QuickBooks to sync your customer list. Upload your supplier price lists (PDF, Excel or CSV) and review them before they're applied.
Price new enquiries in BillyBot and let jobs already planned in MasterPiece finish there. Quotes or invoices you still raise directly in Xero, Sage or QuickBooks show up read-only on the customer's open job in BillyBot.
Re-price three recent jobs in BillyBot and compare areas, roll widths, cuts, underlay, gripper and totals. Check the cutting plan with whoever does your cutting, and the job on a fitter's phone.
